Rain Rain and More Rain

We are currently parked at the KOA in Holbrook, AZ. It is raining hard! The pitter patter sound on the popup is nice, but we've seen rain since we left for Taos! We've enjoyed only two sunny days, and those were here in AZ. However, now it's getting to feel like we're going to be washed away any minute.

I have so much to update about, but I'm running out of time on our wireless internet access from KOA. I'll highlight a few things, then go into detail when we get to Kingman, AZ tomorrow.

~ Thomas won 1st place on his cross country mountain bike race in Taos over the weekend

~ We sat out two rainstorms before we could even begin to set up the popup

~ We visited the Petrified Forest National Park today and the four kids became Junior Rangers

~ I have a table full of dirty dishes that need to be washed but I have to wait since I'm afraid of death by electrocution

~ The kids are a little upset with me because I'm blogging rather than letting them watch a movie on the laptop...guess that means I'm signing off for now. Watch for more updates!

Camp Driveway

It's finally here! Our Jayco Jay Series 1207 pop-up camper is proudly on display in our driveway and we're in it! I'm even using WiFi from our home to make our first blog entry on the laptop. Technology is awesome!

Three of the kids are on the King bed, one is on the small bed, and we're in the Queen. I may regret not sleeping on the King size in the morning, but so far we're comfy and if we need to play musical beds until we find just the right fit then we'll do so as we spend more time in here.

The kids are so excited about spending their first night in the pop-up! We thought we'd try it out here at home before taking this baby on the road. We even heated leftovers in our house and ate here in the camper. That was fun! It's nice having two tables, and the U-shaped dinette is perfect for the four kids while Thomas and I enjoyed dining "alone" at our table.
